Do you have a debugger such as gdb on your machine? If you
do, could you try the following:

    - as root, run tpop3d within the debugger by typing
      (for gdb)

        gdb ./tpop3d

      then at the gdb prompt,

        run -vd

      or
      
        run -vdf config-file

    - reproduce the crash;

    - at the gdb prompt, type `bt' to get a back trace and
      email a copy of it to me.

You can do the same thing with dbx, but the command `bt'
is replaced with `t'.
