This is my problem as well (well, among other problems, courier is really
bad at logging, unfortunately). Anyway somebody here mentioned that courier
can be built with HAVE_MD5LIB and that will somehow make it understand MD5
passwords.

Actually I was wondering whether it would be possible, at a last resort, to
modify the source code and force it to understand MD5 passwords...

Has anyone tried this?
