Now also applied in CVS.
I believe that there are some other pending patches that
people have submitted and I haven't got round to applying
-- I'd appreciate it if anyone who has a patch they'd like
to see in the source tree could resubmit it, to save me a
long and dispiriting trawl through my email (yes, I am
that lazy...).
