Just configure syslogd to do so. (I.e. don't tell it to send mail.*
logging into a file.)
There's presently no simple way to stop tpop3d itself from logging. A
patch that accomplishes this is on the way, but Chris doesn't seem to
have much spare time for tpop3d since awhile.
