[tpop3d-discuss]BSD index / cache not working

Hello,
I complied tpop3d V 1.5.3 with
--disable-auth-pam --sysconfdir=/etc --enable-auth-flatfile 
--enable-mbox-bsd --enable-mbox-bsd-save-indices

I have in my config file
mailbox: bsd:/Client/mail/$(domain)/drop/$(local_part)
mailspool-index: /Client/mail/$(domain)/drop/$(local_part).index

The pop server is working
However no .index files are being created

Obviously tpop3d can write to /Client/mail/$(domain)/drop/ otherwise 
the pop server would not work.

Any ideas ?
