[tpop3d-discuss] compilation of tpop3d and MySQL-4.1.0-alpha fails

Hi all,

It seems not possible to compile tpop3d-1.5.{1|2} or CVS when you are
running MySQL-4.1.0-alpha.
I am running that on FreeBSD 5.1-RELEASE.

configure fails with....

checking for main in -lmysqlclient... no
configure: error: vmail-sql authentication enabled, but can't find libmysqlclient

I have passed --with-mysql-include-dir=/usr/local/lib to configure

beastie# locate libmysqlclient
/usr/local/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.a
/usr/local/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.so
/usr/local/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.so.14
/usr/local/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient_r.a
/usr/local/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient_r.so
/usr/local/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient_r.so.14


This is just a test box, so it's not anything urgent.

Advise appreciated.
