[tpop3d-discuss] Mail 'read' status

Hi,

I'm trying to troubleshoot a problem. I've read the FAQ, tried searching 
the ml archives, to no avail.

I have a user who reads mail during the day using pine, and then 
collects mail in the evening with Outlook express, but has OE configured 
to leave up to 7 days of mail on the server. The problem is, mail that 
was previously marked as read (by pine) is no longer marked as read next 
time pine is opened (after downloading through tpop3d). It's almost as 
though the mail file is being re-written after download, but without the 
read status being set. This has only been a problem since we started 
using tpop3d on the server. Previously we used the uw pop3d and it 
worked fine.

Any suggestions or ideas on how to work around this?
