I am trying to install tpop3d 1.4.2 on my linux box (exim and vmail =
running).

I ran:

./configure --enable-auth-mysql ---- no errors
make ---- no errors
make install ----no errors
I modified /etc/tpop3d.conf:
set ip address to my machine's ip
    deleted 2 entries for auth-pam
    added my db hostname (localhost)
    added table name (vmail)
    added db userid
    added db password

note: I did try leaving pam_auth entries at first; tpop accepted system =
accounts bu not mysql account. That is why I tried to delete the =
auth_pam entries.

tpop does NOT load; when I run from the init.d directory tpop3d start, =
it does not run.

The maillog shows the following:

Jan 15 22:04:22 yoda tpop3d[10481]: listening on address 209.190.230.29, =
port 110, domain browsermedia.com
Jan 15 22:04:22 yoda tpop3d[10481]: no authentication drivers were =
loaded; aborting.
Jan 15 22:04:22 yoda tpop3d[10481]: you may wish to check your config =
file /etc/tpop3d.conf

Any ideas what could be wrong? as there is no more info in the maillog =
other than what I have posted here, I don't even know how to =
troubleshoot this.

Thanks for any help,
Steve B.

PS - is there a searchable version of this maillist anywhere?
