Hmm. That is an interesting point.

As it turns out, it wouldn't be trivial to organise this
within tpop3d. I wrote it according to the philosophy that
the `access denied' error message shouldn't give any
information about the status of the account, though I see
that this approach may not be seen as appropriate in all
environments.

Probably the best approach would be to add an
authentication failure message as a parameter to the
different authenticators. Then you could use
auth-other/auth-perl to do this. Thoughts?
