Um... I use FreeBSD myself (current only at 4.2), and I know that its
standard shell supports it. Not to mention that FreeBSD doesn't put its
shells in /sbin... it *should* be /bin/sh.

Are you sure you don't have another problem on your box? I'd investigate
if I was you.
