I thought this list was a moderated list, but apparently it is not and spamassassin accepts some spam:
X-Spam-Status: No, hits=1.3 required=5.0 tests=DATE_IN_PAST_06_12 FORGED_YAHOO_RCVD,HTML_MESSAGE autolearn=no version=2.63-sa_mythic
I think it's a good idea to moderate the list because there's not much traffic on it. And a "grep iftop <BODY>" should be a good additional filter ;-)
Richard.

Well, that's up to Paul, though as you say traffic is low enough that moderating is probably practical. I guess you're not volunteering?
(TBH I hadn't noticed the spam -- I guess it gets filtered.)

Uhhhhhh, uhhhhh... ;-)

I have no spam filtering here. I use the following good working trick: I use "spamtrap@lucassen.org" as "from address". This address exists. I discovered that such an address is filtered by harvesters because this address can be found thousands of times on the net in newsgroups and so on. Sometimes they only cut off the word "spam" as I can see that spam is sent to "trap@lucassen.org", which does not exist. For replies I use another address which is not (yet) harvested (too much work for harvesters and thus not effective, I think)
IMHO a grep on /\ iftop\ / must be a good help for the moderator ;-)
Richard.
I will not make the list moderated unless someone else volunteers to do the moderation. The mailman moderation process is sufficiently dull and painful that I'd never get round to doing it.
I have, however, just changed the options to restrict posting to members only, which should pretty much solve the problem.
