Dear All,
If you are not already a subsciber to the EDA - please consider the reasons why it is worth supporting:
   - EDA members are automatically insured against accidents as listed in the handbook.
   - at District and Association level the EDA organises many activities including training days on striking, method ringing, and bell maintenance; outings and meetings.
   - additional practice nights for specific methods.
You may well have long since moved on from these types of activities, but you could be of immense support to those of us who aren't and are very keen to improve on fundamental ringing. THe art of bell-ringing - unique to English culture - is not exactly swarming with newcomers at present.
   - your voice on Belfry Repairs Fund, which SCY donate to annually, is essential and important.
   - yearly handbook is produced.

So, please come and join - if you need contact detals for this - see the website or let me know.

I am collecting subs for next year for those who would like to pay as a group; Last years charges: adults - £7.00; children in full-time education - £3.50, free if you're over 60 years. I am checking that these charges remain current.

I'm sure we could arrange a curry outing to celebrate new members if that would help.

Best wishes to each of you for 2008.

  Sue
