[Cambridge-youths] Caius and Ringing for the V-C

Dear All,

I need a band for ringing in the University's New Year
on Monday...

   08:30 Meet, ring until...
   09:24 Ring clock bells down
   09:30 Ensure clock chimes are heard

The clock chimes for 09:30 formally start the New Year
proceedings in the Senate-House so there is a serious
crisis if they don't happen!

So far I have:

   MBW, ATW, DAW, KLL, LDGS

It would be good to have seven more 12-bell ringers.

Separately...

The Catering Manager of Caius is happy to welcome us
back for post-Sunday-morning-ringing refreshments.  I
shall go to Caius myself this Sunday.  Now that I
understand the system I propose to charge each time.
[I shall also set about collecting from the few people
still owing from last term whom I haven't seen recently.]

In short I shall do what PMO has been doing of late at
Don P's but multiplying by two in my head before holding
out my hand...

You will recall that the till person gives the
cost as C but we get charged 2xC.  This is because
the till cost is the student rate and the students
have already paid half via the Kitchen Fixed Charge
which we don't pay.
